Opening of the IV BRICS Legal Forum

On 30 November 2017, the IV BRICS Legal Forum was launched in Moscow. The heads of delegations of the BRICS countries had conducted negotiations prior to the panel sessions.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Sergey Stepashin, Chairman of the Board of the Association Vladimir Gruzdev, member of the Board of the Association Alexey Klishin, member of the National Commission of Foreign Affairs of the Brazilian Bar Association Luiz Tarcisio Teixeira Ferreira, President Elect of the Bar Association of India Prashant Kumar, Director-General of the Office of the China Law Society Ji Daxin, Co-Chairperson of the Law Society of South Africa David Bekker.

During the meeting, the heads of delegations discussed the proposals of the legal communities of the BRICS countries and the draft Declaration of the Forum.
